Character Creation

Character creation follows the rules as presented starting on page 28 of the Cyberpunk RED core rulebook. You'll find some hints for roleplaying a cyberpunk, a list of the roles (the Role Abilities can be found starting on page 142), and at the end of the chapter, the different approaches you can take to character creation.

You may use the Streetrat, Edgerunner, or Complete Package methods, but DO NOT mix and match, as this can unbalance character creation depending on your rolls.

The first section of character creation is the Lifepath. You may feel free to roll randomly on the charts as presented, choose one of the options yourself, or just fill in what you think fits to answer the questions for the character. Ultimately, the Lifepath is a background and roleplaying tool, not unbendable rules.

The stat generation part of character creation starts on page 73 with "How do you get your stats?"

Regarding gear, Streetrat and Edgerunner characters get their packaged outfits starting on page 98, depending on their Role. Complete Package characters buy all their gear individually as presented on page 104.

Additionally, characters for this game receive an additional 3000 xp (called Improvement Points in this game; expenditure tables on are page 411), and 1000 eb.

Players are welcome to use the Cyberpunk RED app to build their characters.
